North Fork Children's Foundation

The North Fork Children’s Foundation (NFCF) began in 2011. Since then, we have sponsored multiple fund raisers which afforded us the opportunity to return in excess of $150,000 back into the North Fork Community.

Unfortunately, our journey is now coming to an end. It is bitter sweet.

We have provided items to the schools (i.e., Apple TVs, iPads, electronic keyboards, specialty items to Special Ed classes, merchandise for other various classes, etc.). Other donations to the community have included two annual scholarships to graduating seniors; monetary donations to local Boy Scout & Girl Scout troops, Park & Recreation for updating our park, three local Little League & Softball ball parks, local Youth Football & Cheerleading club, FFA Alumni (to assist our youth with animals and/or equipment for the fairs), Marching Band, Drama and Choral classes.

Over the years, Ariel Corporation, Energy Cooperative of Utica, Englefield Oil, and Park National Bank have been major contributors to our cause. Without their support our struggles would have been much more difficult. We have also received tremendous support from businesses in the Utica area by their generous contributions of funds, services and/or merchandise. Above all else, we could not have done any of this without the support of all of the individuals who have worked with us, contributing exhausting hours of manpower to help the North Fork Children’s Foundation succeed in their endeavors.

As with so many things these days, people are busy with work, family schedules, not feeling a ‘time-sensitive’ public urgency, and life in general. That being said, because of daily life issues and lack of interest to commit to the Foundation’s needs, we are dissolving effective December 31, 2017.

Again, this is truly bitter sweet. We’ve shared in many success stories and are very proud of what has been achieved. On behalf of the current NFCF Board Officers and Members, and we are certain the previous Board Officers and Members will agree, we THANK YOU!
